Here is a conversation between a sommelier and me.
S: This is Syrah...Rhone...a top producer...making wine for 600 years...smell it first. (I had already started sipping it) What do you get?
Me: Uh...hmmm...what do YOU get?
S: Black current is huge. ...Violet is also big. You know, the violet flower?
Me: Yes, but I've never eaten one.
S: ~_~ ...Well, have you smelled the flower?
That was the end of that part. If I ever smelled one, I don't remember it anymore. I will make a point to find and smell a violet flower in the near future, and maybe even eat one to see if I can get this Syrah from the flower.
