Since I started this blog in 2009, it has been a self-discovery process that has found its way in home cooking of Korean food with what I already have and what I have easy access to - ingredients, tools and space - from my home kitchen. Living in New York allows me better access to Korean/Asian ingredients on one hand, but also less space to store and cook in my tiny home kitchen on the other.
To me, cooking Korean food at home means looking back on the memory of my childhood, continuing to learn about new and old dishes of my homeland, and finding my daily zen-comfort, away from the bustles of work kitchen. All of these combined is my own take on Korean (-inspired) dishes as recorded in this blog.
Each cuisine is a delicious celebration of nature, culture and people. And this blog is my celebration of Korean cuisine. Some silly, some helpful, all yummy, I hope.
Thank you for visiting and happy reading!
Shin
